I couldn't find where it says IObit Security 360 PRO has a firewall either. I read the reply Numsekrummen.dk posted where he says "IObit Security 360™ PRO - is a program that has all security apps needed for safty on the net. It has Firewall, Antivirus, ad-aware and alot more." So I thought maybe my old eyes are going bad and I just missed where the site said that.

Then Ashraf posted that he agrees with Numsekrummen.dk that the two softwares are not the same. I guess I just assumed that Ashraf was also agreeing about IObit Security 360 PRO having a firewall. I know better than to "assume" anything, but this time I wasn't being very smart.

I just haven't had the time to go to IObit's web site and search yet. Altho it is on my "to-do" list scheduled to be done as soon as I can get to it.

My plan at this point, for now, is to listen to Ashraf and the over-all message of Numsekrummen.dk by thinking that I should keep both programs while also keeping Outpost Firewall Free running.

I'm really hoping I get lucky enough to be drawn for one of the licenses for the Outpost Security Suite Pro. From my quick read of it's features, I thought it would possibly cover some of what one or both of the IObit programs do, plus more. The odds are pretty slim though that I'll get picked, 17 chances out of 500 aren't good enough that I'd plan on getting one. If I do get picked, great! If not, oh well, at least I had a shot at one, and it didn't cost me a buck (like the lottery).  :-)

If there is a firewall, would it make sense to think that maybe the slow-down I have on my computer is because I also run Outpost Firewall Free? I'm pretty sure I've heard that running 2 firewalls is a bad idea. ?

As for your question on security and what too use.

The 2 programs your talking about, are two different things.

Advanced SystemCare™ PRO - is a program, like TuneUp Utillitys 2010, its not an antivirus or firewall. Its used to fix problems like shortcuts (like the one most people have on their desktop) that are broken or missing - its used in scanning system for applications that slow its performance, or otherwise makes it unstable (fixing the things that makes your laptop/computer run slow) - However, real system maintaining is a thing only proffessionel or people with IT know how should do.

If you need to delete/erase files, folders, sensative things like password personal information. I would use these programs:

East-Tec Ereaser 2008 - its even a freebie on this site ^^ - Use to erease personal information and wipe free space on hard drive.

Or this alternative:

Ereaser ver. 5.8  - its freeware and i havent been able to recover any files, when ive ereased em with this program.

For uninstalling programs i would use this program:

Revo Uninstaller ver. 1.8.3 - its also freeware and easy too use. I havent had any problems with it, and ive been using it for over 6 months on my laptop. On my other i have "Total uninstaller 5 PRO" but it cost money.

Thats what I would use if i should clean my comp.

But the best advice if you want to get all information away from harddrive, would be to by a big magnet or use it to make a nice cosy grill/fire in the garden. And then by a new HDD for your computer/laptop

I got iObit Security 360 Pro a few weeks ago, then got IObit Advanced SystemCare Pro when they were giving it away a couple days ago. I'm thinking I can dump the Security 360 because SystemCare Pro looks like it has the same features in it (along with a lot more too).

I'm using an older computer with a hard drive that's full enough that it's not very fast anymore. I want to get rid of anything I don't need or use a lot.

What do you think. Does my idea make sense?
