One thing I didn't like about q-dir is that it doesn't have its own search functionality unlike other directory/file managers. I settled with the last free version of xyplorer which does what I need out of it. Has a tabbed interface though as opposed to multi-pane views by other managers. I haven't tried it on windows 7 yet since for some reason I keep regressing back to XP.

Hey black raven have to say I've had problems with windows explorer myself and also IE, starts driving you nuts doesn't it, seems to happen at the worst times, but enough complaining, I've tried a couple that have seemed to work for me, can't guarantee their stability 'cause they are freeware but I don't remember having any problems with them.

Q-Dir Quad-View http://www.softwareok.com/?sei.....ware/Q-Dir

FreeCommander Dual-View http://www.freecommander.com/index.htm

Edit: HTML wasn't working had to do it this way, wasted way to much time trying to correct it.
