Unfortunately you can’t always trust other websites when it comes to the legitimacy of freebies. Most just most any and all freebies, legit or not. Honestly the only website I know that you can trust is dotTech, and I am not saying that because its mine. I am saying that because all freebies that are posted and vetted and are made sure to be legit.

This “mass old-version freebie” offer method is actually Ashapoo’s business model, so it should be legit. However, we should still await more accurate evidence, right?

@Adrian: This is true, but sometimes these freebies go to magazine subscribers only. Most of the time, admittedly, they do become public freebies.

And sometimes there aren’t even installers which will open the registration page when they close.

That’s when Ashampoo decides to leave the reg page public without any notice/link of any kind.
