Auslogics BoostSpeed 5 SE will enhance your PCs performance with a host of useful optimisation tools.

The Disk Cleaner, for instance, will search your hard drive for junk
files that can safely be deleted. The Registry Cleaner wipes away
redundant Registry entries, then Auslogics Disk Defrag reorganises your
files to improve Windows and application speeds.

The bundled Startup Manager displays everything that's launched when
Windows starts, as well as Internet Explorer addons and Explorer
extensions. Potentially dangerous programs, like spyware, are
highlighted, so they're easy to remove. And anything else you decide
you don't need can be disabled at a click, improving boot time and
freeing up valuable system resources.

BoostSpeed 5's System Advisor then scans your system for

I have seen this program and others that state they will clean up your registry, however, my concern is, how much trust should you place these programs? I have a registry fear!!!!ConfusedEmbarassedCryFrown

So how do you know if it has changed something in the registry?

what happens if it causes a corrutption of some sort?

Has anyone tried this program and is totally comfortable with it?

This would be a new venture for me. I am not sure if I need it or not.

I have no lag time for files loading or any noticable drag (for lack of a better word). My computer responds with lighting speed.

 You've recently switched to Win7 right? I'm sure your Registry's in top shape. Besides on a healthy system, a registry 'cleanser' or defrag is useless I might say.

If you do extensive installs and removals, if after a while you notice a lag in your system then you may consider dealing with the registry. Although there are still other things you can do to speed up your system without touching the registry
(scandisk, defrag, startup, disk cleanup etc…)

*As far as corruption, it is true working with the registry in general is risky, but most programs will make a backup before doing any changes. I have used many different programs (including Auslogics Registry Defrag) and I never had any problems with them messing my registry.
