Sincere thanks again then (I'm getting very repetitious) for your kindness, and especially in regard to the Uniblue app mentioned above: I actually have experience of this and have to say that in a world where so very many allegedly similar products promise this, that and t'other, only this developer has had the skill and provenance to meet expectations.

I've particularly enjoyed the absence of hype and false claims, and the fact that (in my hands, at least) this software was not a 'magic bullet', rather that over time it has consistently identified various aspects of system degradation and done so without triggering consequences more catastrophic than the original problem.

I hope many here will take advantage of your thoughtfulness and at least road test this app for themselves.
