Last January, an article was posted about a site you could resize JPEG images, and a companion site that allowed you to make avatars from JPEG photos. The biggest drawback to those sites is a size limit of a maximum 200 pixels.
Better than nothing, and I’ve used the site often. But now I’ve found another size without the size limitation. Its called “JPEG-Optimizer” and it can be accessed here: jpeg-optimizer.com. It allows you to specify the compression ratio, and / or resize the photo, without the 200 pixel limitation.
The image quality is, in my opinion, better than the Resize Pictures / Create Avatar sites from January, which always had a slightly out-of-focus quality. The JPEG-Optimizer output is visually equal to your input. Its my new online site for image compression.
