Paragon Hard Disk Manager 8.5 SE | Freebies | Forums

I tried to download HDM 8.5SE but it seems the link for downloading is broken. I was able to get the registration information from Paragon, but need the .exe file to install it!

Does anyone have a different link to the software, or perhaps can put up a copy for download? I wouldn't think it to be illegal, as you have to have the registration info for use, right?

Please note: I do NOT wish to do anything illegal!! I just hoped to get the software, as offered, if possible.

Here's my story …

I had put an extended partition on my hard drive, which already had extended partitions because of the Dell "recovery" partitions etc. Since I had one of my own as well, I guess when I decided to put yet one more, larger, partition, the system told me I had exceed my allotment. At that point I wanted to make my "hopper" partition larger, but had no way to do it (that I am aware of) via the standard Vista disk management tools. Enter Hard Disk Manager 2009 Pro trial version. I got very excited about the "redistribute" feature, as that would allow me to add space to the "hopper" partition. But then I find out the trial only shows me it can be done, but won't do it!!

I tried the other versions that were suggested here and found that only the HDM offered the "redistribute free space" option (unless I missed it with the other suggested software?). Since the Pro version will only do it in virtual mode, I wanted to get my hands on the 8.5SE version so I could more easily extend my already extended partition.

I sure hope that made sense to you guys! ;)

no, I had not tried PM10 express, however I just looked at their comparison between their products and noted that "redistribute free disk space" is NOT an option in the free version.
