I thought I should post about a free edition of an anti-virus program. I have used it for several years and have had no problems with my computer. it is Rising antivirus and yes it is perfectly legal. They show it on their website. I have even scanned my computer with online scanners recently and they found it totally clean so it seems to be a good effective product and it is easy to use. And contrary to one persons comment on this site it is not fake or malware. Here is the link for those interested: http://www.freerav.com/. It is mentioned on tucows, softpedia, and brothersoft. Just do a google search and you will find it. The latest version I know of is 2009 version: 21.62.34. You will have to update before you have that version however. I have heard that they have updated their paid version of the software to 2010 but have not seen an update for the free version yet. I would appreciate some of the people on this site's views on this. And whether or not there is a better free antivirus or not though I will probably stick with this as it has served me well. Enjoy!
