I am sure most of us know what Titan Backup is. Titan Backup is “a simple and complete solution for home and small offices, created for secure backups of your important data.” (qouted from Softpedia)

Ashraf has previously shared with us on how to get Titan Backup V1.5 and V2 for free.

http://dottech.org/freebies/3309 (V 1.5)

http://dottech.org/freebies/6170 (V2)

Well, I have good news for you guys today. You can get V2.5, the latest version absolutely free.

All you need to know is how to get V2 for free( note: I said V2)

Refer here: http://dottech.org/freebies/6170 to find out to get V2 for free.

To simplify things, go to Brothersoft and register as a member. After you log-in to your account, go to the “Free Shareware” link located near the top
right-hand corner of the page. Scroll down and you will see a link to download Titan Backup V2 for free (The registration code can be found from “serial_key.txt” in the .zip file.)

After you have downloaded it, all you need is the license key. DO NOT INSTALL YET as it is V2.

Alright, download V2.5, the latest version, from any one of these links:

Now, you are ready to go. Install V2.5 as a trial and register the product with the license key provided/meant for V2.
It really works.

In short, amazingly, it has been 'discovered' that the license key meant for V2 works with V2.5.
I have no idea why this is so but this is a fantastic 'find'' and so I would say grab it as soon as you can.

IMPORTANT (TO ASHRAF): I know the fact that the post should be about legal and ethical means
of getting freebies but hey, you too did the same thing [remember about the expert pdf pro V4 license key which
“somehow works and registers” V6. Hope that you Ashraf would not mind this post. Thanks in advance.

Hey hahaguy,

You can post this np. I have come to the conclusion an allowable upgrade is okay. However I would also like to thank Michl who already informed me about this free upgrade long ago; I just never posted it because I was in negotiations with a developer on getting a similar program for a dotTech freebie but those negotiations broke down and I forgot about Titan Backup lol.

Thanks for posting it.

I think it is now free ?

GFI Backup – Home Edition (build: 20090721)
Platform: Windows Vista/XP/2000/NT
Version: 2009

If that is the same program, then you can just go to their site and get it (now Freeware)

I have just installed it.

If we are talking about the same product (Home Edition), then i can verify that it is now Version 3

I have a user (small business), that only uses the inbuilt Windows Explorer unzipper (AGH!).

His network guy uses alot of scripts, and does not want staff installing other zip programs. When you send them a zip with subfolders, the inbuilt windows unzipper makes a mess of it, time and time again.

I noticed the Titan's pgm can create self extracing EXE's, so that will be the first thing I try out.

Good day. I registered at brothersoft.com & got link in email to confirm but when I go to log in at that page & put my info in it just flips the screen as tho I didn't sign in & sends me another email with same initial confirm? So any help to resolve this appreciated.

Also at this registration page I got this Mcafee warning:

In our tests, we found a small fraction of downloads on this site that some people consider adware or other potentially unwanted programs

They list several  known malware, but mainly site regnow.com as the site to avoid.

Life is just a phase you're going through…you'll get over it.
