Hey Ozzie.

Thanks for the reply & info. It seems that anti-keyloggers have come a long way in recent times, but lack the ‘glamour’ & recognition of progs like A/Vs. In Zemanas FAQs they mention it as like an adjunct to all other security progs, & claim they work well with others.

Thank God for the freebies & education here, & also………………….for REVO!!

your pal

Al

Hi all,

Ramesh Said:

There is every likelihood of Zemana
Anti Logger having improved its coding between the last giveaway &
this

Thanks for replying yourpalal and thanks to you too Ramesh, i think i’ll give Zemana another try, hopefully the code has been written better now!

I really hope that it has improved.

Cheers,

FOR ***** SAKE!!!

Once again Zemana screwed up the computer yet this time before i uninstalled it, After installing the program just several minutes ago, i restarted my computer and waited, it took twice as long as the boot screen and after logging in it took four times as long to load my startup programs and kept freezing on simple tasks, once again it was Zemana Antilogger slowing down the computer, its Damnable Zemana Antilogger Driver that it installs ALWAYS brings my computer to a major halt, sorry but i am never going back until they fix this.

Has anything like this happened to you guys?

Cheers,

Conn

Really weird. Something on your comp is obviously incompatible. What AVs etc are you running?

Hey Ozzie, i really don’t now at the moment, it might be my Norton Internet Security, but i’m not too sure whats incompatible although i know that Zemana is causing the slow down.

@Falcon: I am actually running Windows Vista, i have used Zemana before and it ran fine until i uninstalled it, and this same problem started, now though its the complete opposite.

I honestly have no idea. I just Googled the problem and couldn’t come up with anything. I guess at this point the best thing to do is a system restore back to before you installed it. But it’s definitely in the strange basket. I’ll keep looking out though and see if I can find some reason why.

I plan on giving it a try myself after I’ve finished messing around with some of my backups.  I have a file backup to my NAS going but it will probably take another day to slowly  transfer it (and I’m too lazy to plug my laptop into my wired network).

I don’t have any ideas offhand, except what I posted when Conn09 was having trouble before.  I’m running Windows7 though, so I may be of limited help.

Hi Conn09!

Zemana Anti Logger has a list of incompatible apps it does not get along with. Those need to be uninstalled before installing Zemana. On Jan 28th it mentioned which ones these are. Recheck if you have those apps. Recheck if Zemana has a new list of incompatible apps

Hi Ramesh. Where did you find the list of incompatible apps it does not get along with?

Thanks

Hey Conn09

Sorry to hear of the mess. I’ve had no issues with it, & I have Vista too, with Windows One Care the one that usually is the culprit when things go haywire.

I realize many people like Norton Internet Security, & it may be ideal for you, but it is also a bear when it comes to not wanting other progs to work if it feels like it. It is also the hardest ever to get uninstalled completely if/when that time comes. Its like a monstrous spider web all throughout the OS.

Also, Zemana just earned its keep, when a normally secure website tried to start recording my keystrokes.

Is there any legit reason a legit site should do this? Especially without asking consent or permission?

Thanks

Al

@ yourpalal: Did the same for me as well. So yes, worth the installation, I think.

Hi phoenix_rsing.

This is the 1st anti-keylogger I’ve tried, & now feel at ease with it. I don’t let it–like most any other software I d/l–run at start or auto-update–& use only a few protections at a time to see how well it works. But I do enable it now after start & esp b4 using INTERNET.

I have lots of stand-alone, on-demand only security apps, with one Big Boy==Windows Onecare, that came with computer. Zemana doesn’t mess with anyone else & all apps apparently like their new mate!

Sometimes keystroke recording is required in order to deliver functionality. At other times it should be disabled since it is merely spying or conducting market research. In the latter instances you’ll find that functionality does not suffer because of disablement

Hi Ramesh.

Thanks for the info. I never knew that there were any actual reasons that recording keystrokes could be legit. The real concern is without asking consent or permission. However, as you said, if it is legit & it needs this for functionality, I assume they wouldn’t need to ask 1st.

I fully believe that this type of recording should be part of any privacy policy, upfront & in writing. What do others think?

Still, even with legit reasons, the potential for theft of keylogging info from known & reputable sites (or apps), or worse, intentional abuse, is astounding & at times frightening. That’s why I don’t think you can have too many layers of protection (active & passive, on-demand & real-time, etc.), &  why I feel that adding an anti-keylogger is now going to be an essential part of my offense/defense.

Hi, all

Softpedia is giving-away this great Anti-logger software.

Check & download HERE Laugh

Best regard.

Promo seems to be OVER from the link mentioned above!!

However, if you go to the official SOFTPEDIA website, it looks like this great program is still given away for free (vers 1.9.2.172)

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Keylogger-Monitoring/Zemana-AntiLogger.shtml

Strange, isn’t it?

That said, I have a question for you:

Do you use Zemana Antilogger or Keyscrambler as antikeylogger tool or do they complement each other?
