On nights they're active I put a lawn chair outside and watch the show, sometimes for hours.
I've never seen anything as beautiful as the northern lights anywhere. Especially on nights when they're really active.

Hey Wheezer! Maybe someday you could get a digital image of them to show us….that would be like….so way cool!

My camera is a POS tho, so don't know if it'll work or not. Never thought of trying with it before because I figure it would be too dark. No option to adjust exposure time.

Wheezer: Thanks for checking into it. I figured it would be a challenge, but maybe with the right equip…………um anyone from the Kodak family here???????…or maybe we could just borrow some from National Geographic……… we can get some images here.
But they are so much more exciting to see in videos more than pics, because it is a fluid & wave-like colored motion that sparkles unlike any other natural phenomena. But to experience them 1st hand would be the:
"pièce de résistance"

You'll get many, many pages of pics that will make you wish you had more desktops to put pics on!
