Hey phoenix_rising!
Speaking of…………..
"It's just always better to be safe than sorry, as the old saying goes"………..
[this was in my response to :]

………….When I reported them I did not know IF they were or not in advance. In a way it's similar to an AV program–often they may be "false positives/alerts," but the point again is to look into it–"better safe than sorry."

Yet another questionable freebie
Nothing against anyone, but this is getting out-of-hand!
As I said in that other thread: Yup…
Hopefully management is working on a solution to this. It's going to have a bad effect on the reputation of this site if this goes on for long, IMO.

Heard anything on that?
BTW: How come your card says
"Created by Locutus"????????
I thought you did!
OfflineYourpalal: After much discusion today, Locutus picked up the ball and found he can make better looking cards using the free program GIMP than what I can make with the program the fire department paid $600 for. (shameful ain't it)
Of course, I kinda doubt that I can use the card printer at the fire hall to print cards made using GIMP. And the cards that we get for the department are some serious cards. They're made of PVC plastic and have a clear overlay over the printing so they hold up to a beating well. The original one I was given in 2006 has been in my wallet getting scratched against other cards the whole time and it still looks like it was printed yesterday.
The ones that hang on the outside of our turnout gear look a little more worn, but not by much.
But for a card to print and hang on your wall or just use in digital form on a computer, Locutus's cards are 100% better. IMO anyway.
