MS IMAGE EDITOR – PANORAMA STITCHER

Or if you don’t need something that can save in HD View formats, Windows Live Photo Gallery does a great job.

Many thanks for your kudos, Sir Locutus, I appreciate that – and thank you for the reminder about Windows Photo Gallery – this program and Windows Movie Maker come with the Windows OS (as you already know).  It’s good to have this very helpful reminder…I can never have too many photo programs  (they’re great!) Smile

Inas’s link took me to the 32-bit download.

A 64-bit download is available at:

According to Gizmo you don’t need to be very careful in taking the pictures to be able to make the panorama. I haven’t tried it though.

Locutus: I was going to leave this comment on  Cogizio a couple days ago, but didn’t, so here it is now. There’s another stitching program that blows every stitching program I’ve ever come across out of the water.

In fact, it’s used by Lucasfilm Ltd., AKA Industrial Light & Magic to produce panoramas for their films.

And the demo is free! I’ve been using it for almost 2 years now and it still works fine. So don’t know if the “demo” will ever run out. They even say if the demo does stop working, just download the file again and it’ll work fine again.

There are no watermarks or anything left on the finished panorama. You can also stack rows so you end up with a very large panorama in width and height.

Did I mention that it’s very easy to use too?

It was developed by The University of British Columbia and now they have an iPhone app for it too.

It’s called AutoStitch and can be found at:

autostitch.net

I think the engine used by Windows Live Gallery is the same as the one used by MS Panorama Stitcher.
