I am just busy to test a new web browser : Pale Moon. It's based on an old FF with optimized compilation and it is faster than the new Firefox.

Main features:
Highly optimized for modern processors
100% Firefox sourced: As safe as the browser that has seen years of development.
Uses slightly less memory because of disabled redundant and optional code
Significant speed increases for page drawing and script processing
Stability: experience fewer browser crashes.
Support for SVG and Canvas, and downloadable fonts including WOFF

important info: Pale Moon is optimised for Windows (and from some accounts, the more recent Firefox releases are about as fast as the Pale Moon ones?).

hmm … that's interesting, the Pale Moon legacy version is up to 3.6.32, Firefox stopped their legacy version at 3.6.28
(I wonder if I can get the Firefox Throttle extension to work on it?)

and they have portable versions :-)
(which for me is a nice way of testing a browser without installing it)

My current up-to-date Pale Moon is at version 12.3!

Another nice thing about Pale Moon is they do a (x64) version.

I tried Palemoon once on another computer and kinda liked it. But I downloaded the latest version and when I try to run it I immediately get an error. Might be a problem with my computer thought (XP SP3 ) because for some reason IE8 will no longer run either. It starts a window that say connecting and then it just ends. And is no longer running. No idea why as all the other browsers run just fine.
