This program is NOT free -- sorry, I just couldn't find a better topic to place this in. Forum admin, feel free to move it if there's a more appropriate place.
I've been following the development of this program for about the last six weeks, via a forum at Wilder's Security. It has been developed by a team of developers, with the main developer having made himself available for interaction via questions, suggestions, etc from forum members and beta testers, over at Wilders. Developer has been VERY attentive to user suggestions, which is really nice to see.
Basically, the program, which is called AX64 Time Machine, is a disk imaging program that uses incremental backup technique, and also allows the user to go back to earlier machine state by reverting back to an earlier "snapshot" (backup), very rapidly. Thus you have the best of two worlds in that you have the "snapshot restore" kind of program, but at the same time you are making backup copies of your hard disk. Those backup copies can be stored pretty much anywhere (another partition, an external usb drive, SSD drive, network drive, etc.).
The program has a free 30-day trial period, so you can check it out immediately, and if you want to purchase it, it is going to be up for discount sale on bits du jour this Friday, 6/28/2013. Links to check out:

AX64 home page: http://www.ax64.com/
AX64 FAQ and Knowledgebase: http://feedback.ax64.com/knowledgebase
The program normally sells for $39, but will be available for $19.95 via bits du jour. I'm not affilliated with the program or programmers in any way, just have been watching the development of this and know it's an awesome product.
If someone knows how to get a message to Ashraf about this, maybe he could even get the program and evaluate it before Friday so even more people would know about it and have the chance to get it at this discount….
