*really good program!….used it to read all my pdf ebooks. i had just found it and thought i might share it
Offline@Joji: Erm… is that logo from the actual magazine?
Because i seem to remember that it was a copyright problem or something to use the image, i'm not trying to go rambo on you i'm just warning you. Be careful what images you use, as some company's don't like it. just warning you. i seem to remember the moderators on Raymond.cc telling someone they can't use the image they were using and they had to remove it due to copyright reasons, again i'm JUST WARNING YOU. So if it is removed or anything you won't worry.
Is this program any good? What exactly is it? Is it a PDF reader?
So many questions….so little time….
I think looking at the description it would be useful for people trying to go paperless, as i suppose they could use it to turn their scanned documents into PDF's and keep them organised.
Looks like it might be useful…
Oh yes, it's from MaximumPC. I'll link it next time. MaximumPC uses that award if they REALLY like a certain program such as ESET4. It can be from programs, to hard drives, to laptops, to computer cases, it's epic.
This program in my opinion, is truely amazing! It makes boring PDFs into a fancy e-booklet!
Go download it yourself!
It'll be hand for next year when school starts…

What are you talking about? My schools uses crappy Lenovo T400s… Sorry for using that word, but seirously, why would I not call it that when the mic sometimes breaks, hardware problems emerge every 4-5 months, and… well, I forgot the rest.
I'm so far, the only student in all my classes who regularly cleans my laptop with special fluids, wipe the keyboards… and all that troublesome work. But at the end, my laptop looks just like the day I received it. It's a pretty expensive laptop. I think the school ripped our parents' money. O_O I mean they even loaded it up with what I can truely call "outdated_ware".
I mean "COREL DRAW"!? WHAT IS THIS!!! Then they even added Photoshop Elements 5 AND 7! Why do we need 2 versions!!! Then they they passworded ESET making it uncustomizable, and a few other programs we barely use at school. This is rubbish!!! Though, they did add lanschool, which they have to, and firstclass in order to access school files.
Well, the older graders even more outdated laptops than we 9th graders do. They have a T600, T60 and other versions that I forgot. Next year, the new students are getting hte T500s which is the exact same thing as the T400, except… well, I have no clue. O_O

. I only have to go back to school in August on one day to get my result's (the people that mark the exams are rubbish and take a long time to mark them) and in september i'm off to college.
I'm from England, so thats what we do.
@Locutus: I may not be old but i still have to walk to school, about 2 miles every day, have to get there for 8:30 AM then we leave and go home at 14:40PM, we have computers, but it is one of the worst schools in the North West (Here in England). The Computers are kept going by 2 Admins……thats it… BUT next year when i've left (all the good stuff happens when you leave)they're turning the school into an academy with new building and new stuff, so i might apply for a job there as an Admin some time in the future, i saw them "working" one time, and all one was doing was eating his lunch and watching a Film on the computer and the other was talking to someone…….looks like something i'd like so yeah……sorry about the long talk…..
@Joji: I wish my school was using Lenov T600's, the teachers get them but the ones that the students CAN use ( we can't take them home or anything) are old, never heard of the name before, and used to run Windows 98 Second Edition and they make them run Windows XP so they are now really slow and almost unusable. I've even had to fix them while using them sometimes because the screen broke or something. XDXDXD i asked a teacher joking around if i could borrow a set of small screwdrivers so i could fix the screen on the laptop i was using, and they said yes and gave me a pack! XD i couldn't believe it, in the middle of a lesson too! XD
That's because your'e currently in Gr 12. Technology back then sucks. Now it's amazing and, well, its… I can't say it.
I can bring back home my laptop, because i paid for it. It's very expensive like I said previously. Well, it's a rip off. >:(
T400 is better than T600. My Gr 10 friends said that their T60s (I believe the Gr. 11s are using T600…) can't even play Battlefield 1942 or some other gamers properly. It would just lag. Probably because they use Pentium 3 or something. A lot of the older graders are jealous of us because we are using a T400 which is way better than theirs' and we are using Intel Core 2. I upgraded it from 2GB or ram to 4GB of ram to make it speedy, and it has a 3 years warranty with infinite amounts of repairs if my laptop has any hardware issues.
Ok, it's not "inifinite" repairs, just they fix 'em only if you don't break your computer all the time. Uhm how should I explain this… if you laptop has problems all the time like every month, technician will hate you and go rambo at you, because he thinks your'e mistreating your laptop and it means you do/download too much of the following:
1. cracks, keygens,
2. illegal stuff that had viruses
3. too many downloaded programs
4. not take care of your laptop
5. too much customization
6. you did stuff that you weren't suppose to
7. you installed Win7 and dual booted!? Are you draft!?
For me, I fixed my laptop 4 times already. 2 times earlier in the year were hardware issues, the next one was mic issues (it's normal, Lenovo mics are horrible), then now it's Photoshop Elements 7 having problems right after the mic was fix. Sigh…
Atleast Photoshop Elements 5 is working properly, very odd. I don't use Photoshop anyways, so it doesn't bother me much. Next year, I'm going to ask them to fix it asap if possible.
Those technician guys are hard workers! They fix 15~20 laptops a a day!
It's crazy work…

@Conn09
Just to put this software in short words….its a pdf file reader that makes it look like you are reading a book. it has those animated page flipping and you can zoom in to actually read the text…..it is also a pdf file "organizer"….it takes all the pdf files and puts then in your library for easy locating…..when you start it up (POKAT) you have a choice in which direction you want to go:
as you can see you can go to the "Flip-Book" or the pdf "Library"
*btw i really like it bacause i have to read books so i have put my ebooks into pdf files so i can use this software to read it as a "book"….instead of a long list of words!

No no no. I was pretending to be one of those old men who say "get off my lawn" and saying E book.

@PcBasics:
Thanks for getting this back on topic. I'll give Pokat a try and maybe I'll use it on my notebook instead of Expert… The Flip feature is attractive, reminds me of Zinio.
maybe i can even add something to attract you more….
theres even "realistic" page flipping/turning or whatever you call it sound!

[just noticed it cause my speakers were turned off!
