I guess I can't really say much about Skydrive b/c I am a Dropbox fan. I just like dropbox because it is much more integrated and with many more features. The only limitation to a free user? Space. Cloud drive is free but limited features kind of stops me using skydrive. There is also a great comparison via lifehacker if anyone wants a much better comparison......Here is the BASIC comparison of the cloud storages (via lifehacker):

@PCbasics: Thanks for the clarification. Any tips on programs to make SkyDrive usage more user friendly?

Interesting. What did it used to offer before?

It was 5GB, but on searching seems to have been 25GB for some time. However, the file size has been doubled to 100MB.

Sorry about the unwarranted excitement, it's Microsoft's fault – they only just got round to telling me!

I just got an email from Microsoft stating that Windows Live SkyDrive gives you 25GB of free online storage.
Link is: http://explore.live.com/skydrive
You have to have a (free) Windows Live account, thus it will only work with Windows devices. Sorry Android loyalists!
