On facebook, WildTangent Games has a free unlock code for FATE.
FATE is a RPG game (I haven't really played it.)
The site is http://www.facebook.com/WildTa…..n=welcome1. My computer came preinstalled with the HP Games Console (a.k.a. the WildTangent Orb) but for some reason it can't connect to the internet. I can't unlock the game without the internet. I'm not sure if it works, so anyone is free to try it.
The unlock code is XXXX-XXXX-XXXX and it expires on Sunday.
So… I have two questions.
First, does it work? Is it the free full game, no ads, time limit etc.?
and
How do I connect my HP Games Console to the internet? I know it connected before because I downloaded a few games. I don't think it is a problem with my firewall.
Facebook is RUBBISH! Akk! The horrors! How do feel safe when Facebook is currently failing in securing to hid your privacy!?
Though RPG game eh? Interesting… let's see… it's 3D, it involves a 13 years old… it's medieval times, and it looks like solo version of Runescape…
Anyone even plays Runescape?
BTW, they sell other great games too! Fantastique! Even Warhammer 40k Dawn of War! :D

YES! Runescape was the bomb before I finished all the free member quests….
And as for Fate, it might be fun to play at first, but after a while it gets really redundant. You basically stay in the same village the whole game, from which you accept quests from people and enter the same building(with descending levels) time after time to slash at monsters and get coins. Trust me I played it, and it was hot the first week, but since then bleh. They should expand the environment more. Not sure you should go through all this trouble to activate this game.

OfflineI was talking about this one particularly:
No code-sharing, even if they are the same for everyone
I'll bet when Locutus posted that rule, he had a good reason to do so. Granted, I don't know what that reason was, but I'd prefer not to mess with admins. I'm not sure of your motives though.
OfflineHow about this… http://noportable.blogspot.com/2010/04/portable-marine-heavy-gunner-vietnam.html
This company shut down since 2008… and this game is rare. You can't buy it from anywhere because the company, well, shut down. It's an independent company btw…
So can games like that be shared? You can google "Marine Heavy Gunner: Vietnam" but you will not be able to find a way to buy it unless it's from the following:
a) Garage sale
c) your friends'
So… make an exception? Please? Can you please make an exception for those games that are long gone discontinued? I mean if it's gone forever and can't buy it anywhere else, then heck why not just share it? Even the guys on Ebay sells that game for $3.00 because it's discontinued and the graphics are horrible!

OfflineRule: n. A regulation,
Joji: adj. One who does not follow rules; he was a real Joji.

Joji, you don't even need to log into Facebook to see that key.
From Wikipedia:
Commercial software apparently owned by a company no longer in
business: Often, no entity defends the copyright if such software is
put onto abandonware websites. An example of this is Digital Research's original PL/I compiler
for DOS.
However, the rights to the software may have been bought by another
company or have reverted to its original authors, who could file
lawsuits against those copying software without permission.
So it's still illegal.
