Sandlot Games is back again with Super Slyder.
Our lovable, blue, spherical hero is back with an all-new addictive adventure
containing level-altering new items, 9 unique characters with hilarious
animations, 280+ increasingly challenging levels and an easy to use level
editor.
To get this free game, go to http://www.sandlotgames.com/w5/all_games/free_game_of_the_week.html and click the "Get it Free" button. On the little pop-up that comes up, click "Get it free" again. Click "Begin Checkout" and it will force you to log in. At this time you can either create an account or use an existing one. After logging in, you will see a page where you can choose to buy a backup CD. Change it to no and click "Continue Checkout". Verify that your total is $0.00 and click "Submit Order". It will take you to a page with your activation code and download link. Copy the activation code and install and run the program. After loading up the program, click the "Already Purchased?" link under the "Buy Now" button. Paste the activation code into the box and register the game. That's it!
For those of you who don't like the Sandlot Games "launcher program" (see below), there is a way around this.

In the folder where you installed the free Sandlot Game (the game being Super Slyder and its installed location being "C:/Program Files (x86)/Super Slyder" on Vista), there is another folder called "bin". In that folder there is a hidden file called prog.exe. If you run this directly, you get the game and nothing else. This means no loader program on load and exit. The file "prog.exe" is hidden, so you may need to change the settings so hidden files are visible. You can now create shortcuts to this program. If you don't know how to make shortcuts of hidden files, read the following.
Note: This works for me on Microsoft Vista. It may or may not work on other operating systems.
You can create a shortcut to the game on your desktop in the following way. First, locate prog.exe and Shift-Right Click (the shift key and right clicking at the same time) and select Copy-as-Path. If that doesn't work, you can copy "C:/Program Files (x86)/Super Slyder/bin/prog.exe". Now, go to your desktop and right click. From the context menu that pops up, choose New | Shortcut. Paste the link for the program in the box (or click browse, if none of this works for you). Click next, enter the name, and click finished. Now test the shortcut. If it works, great job, if it doesn't just comment. (I seem pretty desperate for comments, lol)
This promotion has ended (but the second post still works for most* Sandlot Games). Please see the article on Tradewinds Legends.
