Some of our dottechies offer techsupport at server level. They have expertise of working not just on various types of intranet servers but across different servers using different OS platforms including Unix & Windows. This app converts text files across servers. It operates on command line & not gui. But then the dottechie I am referring to also knows how to work on command line.

I've been meaning to thank one such dottechie who has helped many of us, many times (including me). Can you guess who that dottechie is? I am sure that person already has a solution but then its the thought which counts isn't it?

The app is called Flip. It converts text files between Unix, Mac & Windows. You can take it from http://www.freedownloadaday.com

Flip is available in versions for linux, mackintosh & windows
