I was venting steam, mostly because I really wanted to use this app; it is a great app otherwise (and yes Google does have many great ideas, no doubt). However, I really think they should have at least added an option to password protect it. I don't think every app should have this, but something as sensitive as email information should have some form of protection. This is our email data; we shouldn't have to take extra measures (or cpu resources) just to protect it.

You probably still don't agree with me; that's fine. Maybe it's because your phone is very personal to you, and you rarely let anyone else touch it in the first place. It's a different story for me. At times during the day, there is always someone who has access to my phone, which is fine nonetheless, but you now can see why I am so concerned about this.
