I was using Chrome with the greyscale theme and thought "why doesn't Chrome have a greyscale icon?"  I few minutes later I had made one in Gimp.  If anyone's interested, here's the link http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1611488/chrome_icon_grey.png  (it's 48x48.  If anyone wants any other resolutions, just say so).
