Thanks guys! I appreciate the feedback! I was kinda thinking along the lines of things like this though, rather than just straight charts:

It might be a bit ambitious, but there must be some program that can do this relatively easily (and cost-effectively).

Have you tried Gnumeric?

I haven't used it in a while, since I haven't worked with spreadsheets.

OpenOffice is pretty cabable of what most people do with Excel, so if you need something more...known, I'd go with OpenOffice.

I don't know of any software that just graphs, but most spreadsheet programs, also do graphs.

Excel does a decent job at creating charts/graphs. Not that it's free, but I figure you probably have it at work.

Agreed. OpenOffice or Ashampoo Office should also be able to do what Excel do.

Greetings all! I'm hoping all you brilliant dotTechies out there can give me some advice. At my work, we are looking for a free program that will enable us to add some pizzaz to our annual reports. By this I mean being able to represent figures on some cool charts or graphs. We have tried Visio, but the things we produce always look ugly and it's also very fiddlesome (is that a word?). Basically we want to make eye-catching visual representations of data. What I'm looking for is something really simple to use - a sort of "input the data and bingo, chart/graphic done" type of thing. We're not very technically minded in our office (big understatement), so we need something simple that we can all use. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd be most grateful for any ideas.
