Dum-dum-dum… and the plot thickens!
Here's a sample of the kinds of information Apple plans to collect:
In other words, Apple will know who you are, where you are, and
what you are doing and saying and even how fast your heart is beating.
now im creep-ed out.. i was looking to buy a macbook pro (memebr recent forum post) the one that gives u a student discount that gives u a free ITouch???? and im still gonna go that way.. cuz thats for only those iphone 4 users thats all.. and its gonna be the upgraded version coming out soon. apple wouldnt dare adding that as a software upgrade in the latest firmware.. it would just make people post youtube videos of them destroying their phones in many ways..
as for the itouch people,, its safe (but dont buy the next gen.. i think theyre gonna add camera (front/back?) but as far as im concerned im safe!!!! hooray!
but more importantly … thats a new low for apple.. they cant just let people "live their life".. i m guessing this is cuz they loose say thousands of hte millions they earn, right?
*apple is kinda loony toony*
**Hey no typos!!!!!!!** im proud!

But! But… but… but Android isn't as open as… but IOS… but Apple--but WebOS… but, but but but.
Total standing: iOS 0, Android 0.
I guess we start looking to MeeGo. Which, btw, is now open for download ofr computers. I might try it out.

Offlineto be fair though, there appears to be other manafacturers that have 'spy on the user' software
http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2009/06/wsj-nokia-and-siemens-help-iran-spy-on-internet-users/
I suspect all smart phones can be used to track/spy on their users in some form.
what is worring about the Apple story, is the implication that Apple will be looking for jailbroken iPhones/iPads and shutting down their functions/spying on the user based on (their) assumption that those iPhones/iPads *might* be stolen.
I put a link to a gHacks story on this in
