You're in luck! Of course, making a huge change to entirely different software might be hard, but Adobe just released the CS5 suite. After Effects CS5 is designed for this kind of thing (broadcasting), and it is specifically designed to make full use of a 64bit system with lots of RAM. But like Wolf said, Adobe products are designed for like major motion picture scale editing so it may be too much for your needs. But if you really wanna use your resources to the max, Adobe will do it.

My favorite, so far is still Cyberlink's PowerDirector. The newest version: 8, can be seen at http://www.cyberlink.com/produ.....L_Homepage

I've been using version 7 for over a year and am very happy with it. I edit a lot of video for fun and for money.

I tried the Coral editing software before buying PowerDirector. In my opinion, it just isn't as good and was a huge resource hog.

If you're looking to take a huge step up tho, there's others out there from Adobe and others that'll cost hundreds of dollars (or more) and will give you the features you see in major TV shows and movies. But for what I've found, most people don't care enough about fancy effects to make the cash output worth it. Those programs are also very technical and hard to learn.

Being a new member, I hope I'm doing this correctly.

I'm using a Vista x64 system on P4 Quad hardware with 8Gb memory to do editing and processing of videos for a closed circuit TV system. Currently I use Corel's VideoStudio ProX2 which runs okay, but it doesn't make use of all the resources available on my system. I wonder if there are any applications (not games) that take full advantage of multiple processors and 64bit capabilities. While my current use is primarily video oriented, it occurred to me that many users who have purchased newer more powerful systems never have applications that can benefit from these expanded resources. How can I find applications, in my case video processing, that will utilize multi processors and 64 bit memory and instruction capabilities? Any insights or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
