UPDATE: ITS ALL FIXED.. NOTHING TO PANIC ABOUT :D JUST A MINOR UPDATE PROBLEM AVAST SENT OUT!!

I wouldn't downplay the event as minor considering avast users are in the tens of millions or more. Issuing out a definitions update that can possibly hose down say 50 million computers is definitely a major event especially considering that most computer users doesn't have a clue as to how to secure their pcs (me included ). They see an alert they go "OMG I has a viruzzzz!! Ima scan my computerz and let my antiviruzz delete em all!"

I'm not saying avast isn't good, on the contrary, in my opinion it's among the top three best free/paid AV a windows user can get. The problem is they rolled out an update which I think wasn't properly tested. You'd think that they have learned from past mistakes but here they go again

Good. Reading back it seems like it was detecting the plugin EXE from Firefox (or Chrome) that is used to separate them so if the plugins crash your browser doesn't.

Just recently, Avast did an update and two minutes later when i went onto youtube.com it said that it had malware nad was blocking it. Not htat my life depends on youtube, but I was going to watch some reviews on cars, etc [lol]..is anyone else having a similar problem?
