OfflineThe tv would have to have its own os?
Could someone reply to my post from before?

OfflineI was wondering if is there was a way to boot os from the tv usb port without a barebone pc, media player, laptop or desktop.
Unless the TV has the hardware the OS needs to run (processor, RAM etc) that is [I believe] impossible.
however, I do remember reading about micro/mini PC's that were not much bigger than a USB memory stick that might be close to what you want.
hmmm …. googling I find
http://www.laptopmag.com/review/tablets/android-4.0-mini-pc.aspx
which is using the Android OS that is used on smart phones.
but you can get ones that will run some Linux versions ![]()
