OfflineNo, this is not Google docs, this is Microsoft Office Online. It looks basically like a lite office 2010 that you log into with your facebook account.
What do you think of it? My biggest question is whether it's better than Google docs .
Oh yeah, and you have to be accepted; it's in private beta stage right now. It only took me about a week after I sent my request before I got signed up, though.
OfflineHmm, interesting; I just found the same sort of thing on the windows live skydrive site (upload a docx and then click on the edit button) except it's not available yet. It just give an "Under contruction" sign and a picture that looks exactly like the apps on docs.com. Wierd.
I hope that one is released soon, as I can't sign in to facebook at my school which is where I would like to use the web apps; they have a pretty annoying proxy set up. Why did Microsoft use FACEBOOK?!?!?!? It makes no sense.
Offline
OfflineWell, you used to, but now you can't anymore; you just get that "This service under construction" message when you click the "edit" button. (That button only shows up on docx files)
I hope it comes out soon, because as I said, it's worthless to me if I can't use it at school.

Facebook and Microsoft: violating your privacy since 2004.

LOL.
Seriously though, I trust Microsoft more when it comes to my privacy than, say, Google. Why? Because Microsoft's core business model is not based off selling our private information in the form of advertisements.
That does not mean I think Google is evil or advertising is evil; rather that just means people should realize that Microsoft is better than Google in some aspects.

But- but-

The Borg need Google to develop our apps!
