Hello friends,

I moved my Windows backup bkf file from XP to Windows 7, but could not restore Windows bkf file through NTBackup restore utility because I received an error message “the backup file contains unrecognized data and cannot be used”.

How can I restore Windows bkf file in Windows 7 that were created in Windows XP? Cry

Some days ago, I created a Windows backup using Microsoft’s ntbackup.exe utility in Windows XP; when I was tried to restore XP backup to Windows 7 but system thrown an error message i.e. the backup file contains unrecognized data and cannot be used.  I searched a solution in Google & got BKF recovery software from this site: http://www.bkfrecovery.net/ , it helped me to fix my BKF file error issue & restore all my files from Windows XP backup to Windows 7.

Some days ago, I created a backup using Microsoft’s ntbackup.exe utility, but my backup got corrupt due to unexpected system shutdown. But in this condition, I have personally used Kernel for BKF Repair tool that can effectively restore or recover my all data from windows backup files within short time interval. Refer this link: http://www.en.msbackuprecovery.org  to perform effortless data recovery from corrupt BKF files.
