very interesting thread. I use it many years and I need to know more...

TIP for banking: Use IE only for banking and do not use it for anything else. Of course without any add-ons.

For the rest of your surfing needs, you can use whichever browser you like or use many of them. For me its Firefox and Opera for everyday needs.

Thanks Jumbi... that's true. For banking, IE8 is the best because it's best in security, security holes are fixed mostly ASAP, and it blocks most things if you set it to the highest settings. Am I correct?

Today, when I was installing MyWot on all my browsers, I came across the download page for firefox. Surprisingly, many people said how it violates your privacy. It records every website you visit. Not very good... isn't? It's almost like Comodo products, or say MSE which is designed to protect your system and also a spy to make sure if you have products that are pirated on your system. But again, they do this so they could patch up their products so they wouldn't lose much money over piracy. Now we look at Comodo. I've searched it up on this site, Dot.Tech. I could clearly see Comodo has privacy issues am I correct?

But most surprisingly, WOT has privacy issues too! If you read their privacy policy, it states this: "The WOT add-on collects information only for computing website ratings, performing statistical analysis, and preventing abuse of our service. Any information that is no longer needed for these purposes is deleted."

Though, some things that concern me is what they actually do with all that data. And what happens if you do banking? Who knows what they do?

Can anyone add on to this and make clearer conclusions?
