I've always been afraid to use partition programs because I once read about the importance of having aligned partitions, and that not all partition programs do this. I just now read that Win7 automatically aligns new partitions by default. Does that mean only that the Windows partition manager does it automatically or that partitions will automatically be aligned using any program?

Today's GAOTD giveaway is Easeus' latest partition manager. If I use it on my system, will the new partitions be aligned? Couldn't find anything about it in the Help.....I have a regular HD (not RAID or SSD). Do I need to worry about alignment when using a partition app?

Thanks for any help!
