Thank you Casey. I looked over the links you provided. The first one is now saved on my hard drive for refference and I'm going to give that email course a try too. It really looks like what I need.

I'll be checking youtube as Ebony suggested too. That's a good idea that had slipped by. Thank you.

Well, I don't actually own Photoshop but I found this:

http://www.photoshoplab.com/ph.....asics.html

It explains all of the buttons on the Tool Palette. You could also take a free email course:

http://graphicssoft.about.com/c/ec/1.htm

The outline of what the course has can be found here:

http://graphicssoft.about.com/.....tm#outline

I have never taken an email course so I can't tell you what to expect. You could always buy a Photoshop book. They're not too expensive. I bought a GIMP book and now I now just about everything to do with GIMP. Like I said before, I don't own Photoshop but if I did, I would start with these sites.

I just got Adobe Photoshop 5.0 Ltd Edition and am looking for good free tutorials that I can use to learn how it all works.

A google search brought lots of options, but most of them seem to be aimed at people that already know and understand all the basics. What I'm looking for right now is the very basic stuff, like what do each of the buttons do, what are they used for.

I have a very, very, very limited knowedge of GIMP (learned from Locutus, here and on Cogizio) and have already come across differences that have me scratching my head wondering "what the heck?"

So if you happen to know of a good site I can learn from, I'd appreciate it if you would pass it along.

Thank you!
