Offline[Edit] After posting this I realized I was having a case of "Old Timer's Disease." A quick Google search revealed that I can buy an external power adapter that would do the job for $12-$50 depending on the wattage needs of the computer.
I would have deleted this post, but that doesn't seem to be an option I have.
Sorry for wasting your time.
————————————————————————--
I've been offered a desktop computer that would be a huge upgrade from my laptop, for free.
The problem is that the computer was purchased and used in Australia, where they run 240v instead of the 120v we run here in the US.
I have no idea what it would take to make it able to run on our power here. But am guessing it would need either a new power supply installed or some kind of an adapter/converter that I would plug the computer into and then plug the adapter/converter into the wall.
Anybody ever dealt with something like this? Or have a good idea of what I should try? And any cost guesses would be great too.
Thank you.
