At home, I feel no need to have an alarm on my PC.  If I do need an alarm at home, the bedside alarm clock works well as does the alarm on my phone.

No, but for alarms I've always found that the Naked Alarm Clock that has nothing to do with anything naked works well and it's a no-install Flash app (you need to keep your browser open): http://www.nakedalarmclock.com/

Are you put off by the fact that Windows system time is disgustingly small &/or hopelessly underfeatured? I mean its like you really have to screw up your eyes to read it right Wink? Besides it does not have features like alarms & reminders right? Surprised

 

Besides perhaps you are'nt interested in having a digital clock or analog clock on your screen right? Perhaps (& rightfully so in some cases) you are concerned that your computer might even hang sometime because you chose a lousy app? Frown

I checked all the apps in this category in Cnet, mulled & finally chose just one.

  11. Does it consume lot of system resources? Nope. nthClock.exe consumes negligible resources Smile  
  12. Does the process always run in the background. Nope. It runs only when invoked. Disappears when it is not invoked. Therefore does not hang your comp like some other apps Smile
