What program is it? It is hard for us to help you - besides giving general answers - if we don't know the specific program you are asking help for.

Calm down. You asked "And can anyone respond to my Win7/Vista question?" after I already answered the question so Sandeep assumed you didn't read my answer.

Instead of replying as you have, a simple "thanks I already read it but it didn't help" is much better. Being condescending won't get you anywhere.

@Someguy: As said by Ashraf, i was trying to help you out to see if what i had written works for you. When Windows 7 was released not officially but as a release candidate there were many software's which didn't supported it so i used to run them in compatibility mode with XP3.
I think i misunderstood what compatibility mode is while replying to you which is clear now. Sorry for that. It's good to learn from our mistakes.

Please don't type in all caps. Even if Sandeep is mistaken, he is only trying to help - no need to type in all caps.

That being said, there are very little programs that only work on Vista/Win7 and not on XP. Those programs that do only work on Vista/Win7 have a special architectural reason; in other words if a program only works on Vista/Win7 chances of you getting it to work on XP are little to none. If you tell us what program it is we can help better.

Just right click on your software which is only compatible with Win7/Vista, go to properties, click "Compatibility" Tab and enable "Run this program in compatibility mode for Win XP SP3". Then run the software. I had used it quite a few times when the software was not compatible with Win7 but i am not sure if it will work this way for your software.
