My Review:
I love music and I love downloading music, putting them on an MP3 CD or on my iPod and listening to it in the car or wherever i go. We all do, right? Well Speed MP3 Downloader does exactly as it describes. It downloads MP3s in at a relatively decent speed.
An important thing to note is that it is based on youtube. Literally. The searches , the order, everything!

Now I wanted to compare so–to download a 6:54 minute song —
- Speed MP3 Downloader downloaded
in 320 kbps rate: 4 mins. / 15 secs
in 128 kbps rate: 5 mins / 6 secs
- Freemake Video Converter downloaded
in 320 kbps rate: 1 mins. / 33 secs
in 128 kbps rate: 1 mins. / 33 secs
file size were the same for both, but idk my ears leaned towards the Speed MP3 sounds better, but it didn't seem to be a HUGE difference, just something really sharp ears would notice.
So let's go on:

My Advice
I think it is a great program for those who like to go to youtube to listen to music and want to maybe convert them to MP3. Of course this means you wont find the music that isn't available on youtube, but oh well. If you have freemake video converter / downloader i think those are great programs to start with. I love Freemake's software and it is definitely a keeper, but I think I will look into Speed MP3 as an alternative.

and a small but very important secret concerning this nice piece of software:
for those who have already installed it, you can just copy its folder wherever you like (usb drive, another computer, even dropbox, etc) and run it just fine!
It must be already portable :-)
@everybody
Please, do not run Speed MP3 Downloader as described above.
Speed MP3 Downloader is not a portable application. Why?
SMD depends on flash player and also there are two important aspects when you run SMD in a way described above.
1. Running this app in a way suggested leaves files and folders on a local computer. If you run this app in such way on your own comp – fine. But if you were using mine I would be, well, not very pleased to find your leftovers.
2. What if there is locally installed version of Speed MP3 Downloader? Running your "portable" would override local copy's settings. In this situation I would be very mad.

These cases are quite rare and not for the majority of people who want to be able to run it on their other computer at a later date.
Check developers website, it is officially portable, it was just not advertised on gaotd as portable for obvious commercial reasons, which I respect but I also love dottech and wanted to share here :-)
