I agree that more apps would be nice. That's why I have a page for suggesting new apps, and I'll be happy to take suggestions here, too. I would be happy to take any good, free, useful, and (most importantly) portable apps and U3-ify them if I could get some suggestions.
Maybe I should but the link to suggest a new app in more places, as well as make it easier to find on the downloads page.
I recently moved all the U3 apps to a new domain, U3Applications.com. I have been working on adding new ones, and I have a total of 16 now. The app suggestion page is very prominent now, but still no suggestions. I am getting plenty of visitors, however, so I guess they just want me to pump out the apps, and they'll download them. Mainly my problem now is: what to do with DStrout.net? It is just an "Under Construction" page right now, with a list of my other sites. I was thinking of perhaps making a blog, but what would I put on it that will not have been posted a hundred times already? Any suggestions, either about DStrout.net or U3Applications.com would be appreciated.
Joji here, thinks you should get the following things:
1. Portable Conflict Global Terror
2. Portable Conflict Desert Storm 2
3. Portable Office Suites
4. Portable Google Chrome
5. Portable Tactical Nuke… wth, skip that
6. Portable uTorrent
7. Portable Win Utilities
8. Portable Glary utilities
9. Portable REVO uninstaller
10. Portable iobit 360 Majig…
11. Portable FPS GAMES!!!
The "Conflict" game series were created by Pivotal Games, but heck that company shut down 2 years ago :( I really love their "Conflict" series. Real strategy, real team work, and quite realistic. Graphics may be kinda outdated, but heck the gameplay is awesome! Ya I got it off a site that gives away free games, here's the link for Global Conflict Terror: http://noportable.blogspot.com…..0-eng.html
Download them from RGhost links. Here, just download all 3 parts from these:
RGhost is pretty fast… around 150kb per secound! :D
ENJOY THE AWESOME GAME!!! There is multiplayer though, it's very fun. You and 4 other people play co-op on the single player missions, much better than playing with your A.I allies. :)

Portable uTorrent and portable revo uninstaller I already have, just search. Google Chrome I couldn't figure out how to make portable. Glary Utilities and WinUtilities I will look into. As to the office suites, they are just too big to make it feasible, though AbiWord might be possible. As to all the games: I don't want to add any at this point, U3.com already has a lot. But what is IObit 360 Majig?
Thanks for the suggestions!
Ok, just looked into Glary Utilities, and it is out of the question. The portable version they offer is, according to their website, "not for distribution". Unless there exists another way to make it portable, the I can't U3-ify it.
Still looking into WinUtilities

This site is a production of DStrout.net.
You own http://www.googleurlshortener.net/? I love that site!
(It'd be more convenient if you made it detect the lack of http:// if there was a lack
.)
Also, what is the advantage of having U3 rather than portable apps?
Yes, I own GoogleURLShortener.net. I picked the domain up at DynaDot, someone was selling it there…for only $10! Go figure! So I set that up using an API provided by http://ggl-shortener.appspot.com/. Glad to hear you use it and love it. I am think of making it use AJAX. But what do you mean by making it detect the lack of http:// ? You can erase the http:// from the box if necessary.
As to the use of U3, it is just nice if you have a U3-aware drive and the U3 software installed, all your software is accessible from the menu. It's like PortableApps.com, but with even more software available.
Also, about WinUtilities for U3, it might work, but they only have the free version portablized up to version 9.37, so if I make a U3 version, it will only be v. 9.37. I am working on it, expect it out tomorrow, probably.

I mean, like if I enter dottech.org into the box, it complains that it couldn't make the short URL.
Fixed! In my original code I had this feature, but I did some modifications, and that bit got left out. Give it a try!

…and the first URL I shorten is dottech.rg. (
)
Pivotal games shut down in 2008. I don't you can buy their products anywhere other than finding the torrents online. Think you can U3-ify them?
360 majig… I'm errr hold on… got it! Iobit Security 360. THere's a portable version for it. :)
But heck, Iobit sucks anyways, almost deleted one of my system32 files!

Just been working on GoogleURLShortener.net – finally got it using AJAX, with backward compatibility for older browsers. Give it a try, and please let me know if you find any problems.
As for WinUtilities, it should be up in an hour at U3Applications.com
Also, I think I have figured out what to do with it, so I will be working on it for the next couple days. Probably not many new U3 Apps.
Thanks for all the suggestions on my sites, guys!
Actually, nvmd on WinUtilities for U3. The version that they portablized and that I thought was portable turned out to actually be the paid version. Apparently, the free version has not been portablized, only the paid version. Sorry!

But overall it's cool!
I know lol. How about GoogleShortener.net? The domain is available. However, I don't think I can buy it. I don't have much money to spare right now. With the 3 domains I have registered right now, it is out, since I need to be putting money aside.

And it's one of the easier ones to remember (http://goo.gl/JpAk is a bad one).
Just out of curiosity, does anyone know why some Goo.gl URLs are in the format http://goo.gl/fb/shorturlhash, and some are just http://goo.gl/shorturlhash?
BTW, I have finished the new DStrout.net. Take a look!
http://goo.gl/cYfN – the Goo.gl short url for – Goo.gl!
