Just did a complete redesign of SpamLot.co.cc, one of my other websites. Nice new theme, some fixed bugs (including a major security hole), and XHTML compliance. Check it out as an alternative to Mailinator, since most websites know of and have blocked Mailinator.

Ashampoo’s discovered you, too.

You’re right, it has found me! But apparently it hasn’t found all my alternate domains; check out this page to find one. If necessary, I can also add more alternate domains, since they’re all free.

I had tried one of the alternates.  It blocked it.  Maybe it blocks all domains with “spam” in the name?

I have an idea. Name it as “@icecreamtrout.co.cc”. Here are the reasons why:

  • everyone loves icecream, how is it suspicious?
  • Trout is a fish, and also a famous Machinima FPS pwner and a true legend next to Thunder Toro
  • Trout is also part of your name, and I like your name, it’s very epic
  • icecream trout, now I bet no one will ever type that on google…

Think again…

http://www.google.com/search?q=trout+ice+cream

That’s a lot of results for something no one ever types.

Not all of the alternates have “spam” in them. Refresh the alternates page a couple of times, and you file find a few that sould like regular sites the would offer webmail. I tried to add a few of these for sites that block the word “spam” in the address. I have succeeded with one of my alternates in signing up at Ashampoo. I will try and add some more alternates; they’re not too hard to set up.

Just noticed your signature:

I like that quote!

I only tried with one alternate before heading off to other antispam sites (there are so many out there it’s awesome!  Mailinator, Spamlot.co.cc, 10Minutemail, Trashmail!) because I have so many on my list.Wink

Yeah, you should try some other alternates, I’ve got 6 or 7 of them.

The signature is from a show I watch, I thought it was a funny one.

BTW, has anyone here ever heard of ooVoo?

Now that I’ve been to their site, it looks familiar.  Maybe I saw it on CNet?

Why, are you making a competitor? Wink

Competitor? I don’t think so! I got a request to make a U3 app out of it, and I’m wondering if anyone knows if there is a protable version of it, or some way to make it run portably.

Hey Locutus! Just noticed, in your latest post at cogizio.org, you mentioned SpamLot.co.cc! Thanks a lot, great publicity!

You’re welcome!  Unfortunately it doesn’t turn up right in the email:

http://spamlot.co.cc/mail/view/35

And the file instantly expired.

I’d filter inline CSS if I were you. Laugh

My e-mail parser is kinda buggy. I’ll try to capture a raw Zamzar e-mail and figure out what I’m doing wrong.

OK, fixed a lot of things, Zamzar e-mail show up correctly now. Unfortunately, the download urls still aren’t coming through right. I’m trying to get that fixed.

That’s all that shows up in the body? That’s not what happens for me! Maybe you got it while I was working on fixing it; you should try it again.

Well that’s one of the characters that appeared.  I’ll try again, see if it works.

Well, I hope it works for you, but I’m going offline; it’s getting late here. I will work some more on the parser tomorrow, hopefully get the Zamzar URLs working.
