Dottech needs a logo that can go with any shortcuts to it.
I used the current Site Launcher utility and Dottech appears as a black circle for its symbol. yuchhh!! I suspect Site launcher uses nothing when there is none found.???
I'm thinking of a large circle with thick sides to mimic a "dot"or a t"dot" with a hole in it,
and then the BOLD word "tech" inside it. Possible colored yellow or red or blue where the blank areas are.
Some artist please help Ashraf.

Hi! I recommend using a large black CD shape for the dot, with the current logo of dottech + the .org across the bottom of cd dot, with a different color than the words for the hole in cd. Possibly a shiny spot on upper half of the cd, IF it doesn't detract from the words. I think you should definitely put .org on it still, as I once tried for awhile to find your page as a .com. Had to Google to find you. I love your site, Ashraf! You do a superb job! Dottech & GOTD are the top 2 sites online! Why everyone online isn't subsribed to you, I can only guess is that they haven't found you yet! Thanks for all you do for us! Hugs, Skye-hook

The "black box" is actually my fault 
. You see I didn't (don't) have any clever icon to put for dotTech (you know the black icon that appears in your tab next to the title of the page you are on when you load dotTech) so I just put a black box.
I very much like David's idea. I will see if I can get my professional graphic designer to help me out again (he is a busy man!) otherwise will look for alternatives.
@skye-hook: while I agree putting the ".org" on any logo for dotTech [.org] is essential, what David wants is just a small icon; not only will there be no room for the ".org" but there is no need for it for the type of icon that is going to be created.

Nice logo but I would defeintly prefer a "dot" instead of an actual dot lol.
Great icon; will use it.
Also, sorry about the Locutus thing. It is fixed now.

Okay I tried out Locutus' icon and it looked a bit too crushed. I made one of my own based off the ideas of all the above three. Please clear your browser cache and press Ctrl + F5 to refresh your page to see it. Let me know what you think.

The dT of the favicon is really nice! It looks a little plain on my bookmarks bar next to Facebook and Gmail, but nice!

Ashraf, that little blue man above your ADMIN name here has plenty of room for the "dot" (ie his head) and the word "tech" (ie the word ADMIN in CAPS).

Yeah, that avatar is about the size of an icon on the screen, as an ico file. I just noticed here that there was already a "dot" as the head of the Ashraf avatar and that "tech" is a smaller word than ADMIN. So plenty of room and easiy readable if youu keep the "tech" where the DMIN letters are .
Not saying to keep a little man as the icon, just a dot and the word tech.
I think the dT icon that you are using is not catchy, professional, or cute enough for this wonderful board (cough, cough). My apologies to whomever drew it. I mean no malice.
I just want a sharp, super , smart, cute, professional , simple to understand icon for "dotTech" recognition. My original drawing does not do it, but neither does the two letters "dT". That little 3D ball is perfect. Just make it bigger and tattoo it.
