OfflineOne thing I'd love to see is an actual expiry date and time (including time zone) for any downloads or other offers. I often see posts such as "72 hour promotion", but I can't be sure exactly when it was posted or when it ends. If I knew for sure, I'd know whether I had to rush to dl it (I usually do it right away, anyway), or if it could wait until tomorrow afternoon, when I have more free time. No bid deal… it just might be another improvement, which is what this forum is all about.
OfflineThat's a good idea, esepcially about the time zones.
Usually, there will be an explanation of the details of the offer included in the link to the article, which will have the dates available. And if it's expired, the article will have an 'update' saying that the offer is over. [The exceptions were when this site was not real active for a few weeks
when the promotions on the right side DID have some older offers that weren't updated.] But all is well now!
OfflineI have no control over the expiry dates or times of freebies sponsored by other websites. If the website that is running the freebie gives a particular time and date I will post about it. Otherwise, I won't because I don't have the information. For dotTech Promo freebies, I typically post end date/times – have I forgotten to do so for recent freebies?

shows no expiry date anywhere that I can see. I'm guessing, that one is just a slip, unless there is actually no expiry!
More often, though, I have noticed the likes of "First of all, this promotion is live for 72-hours only – from November 26, 2010 to November 28, 2010. Secondly, you must activate the program by November 30, 2010; if you don't activate by November 30, 2010 you may not be able to activate at a later date.", which is way down the page and does not include a time or time zone.
What I'm suggesting, is that it be right up at the top, like this:
Posted: November 26th, 2010 | Offer Expires: November 29th, 2010, 11:59pm EST | Author: Ashraf | Views: 4,368 | Filed under: Freebies, Headline, dotTech Promotions | Modify: | 27 Comments
Obviously, it wouldn't be red.
That's just to draw your attention to it. I think this would be a welcome improvement and easy to institute, by just adjusting your header template.
Ian.
