I was in the hospital for a week (unexpected appendectomy) and came back to a whole new-looking DotTech….:-)….The site seems to have adopted my computer's default font (Palatino)—at least for the review pages. Now, normally I like my Palatino, but I much preferred the way DotTech was before (Ariel?)….It's way too spread out now (including double spacing for some reason)….Is there a way to view the site in DotTech's default fonts?

In case it's relevant, I still haven't had a chance to upgrade my IE6 properly (i.e., first installing SP3 properly)……….

Janet do you mind sending me a screenshot of what you are seeing (or upload it here in a reply to this post)? I don't have IE6 installed.

Thanks.

Hi

Like Janet I've been away for a week and also came back to the "new look" site.

Ashraf – your reviews are great but the new look site is so much harder to read.

The mid-blue text on a pale blue background in a "serif" font is so much harder to read than the original. Of course now I can't remember exactly how it was, but I think it was black text on a white background.

Could we please have the white backgorund back and a "sans-serif" font? Please, please

?_? I got continual complaints how the last look's text was hard to read. You are about the only one that finds this newer text harder to read; everyone else finds it fairly "easy on the eyes". Well you and Janet, but I think Janet's problem is related to her using IE6.

Sorry :(.

Hmmmm…the site looks perfectly readable to me. I think all black on white screens look to harsh and are hard on the eyes.

I'm no web designer, but it seems to me having the primary areas black on white and the rest of the page more subdued (like in this forum) helps the user to focus.

Just a suggestion…maybe njwood60 should look at his(her) hardware settings on their monitor and try tweaking them. Most monitors have a way to get into a menu to adjust contrast, brightness, etc to a users preference.
