OfflineAlternatively, QJB's = GoTo buttons, or links.
In these forum, we have a quick link (only near the end) to get back to top of page. Unfortunately, the same does not apply at end of Replies to Reviews section – only dragging the scroll bar is readily available.
It would be nice to have QJB's throughout the various discussion / information areas to ease navigation – both up AND down.
A really cool way would be to have it always floating at one side (or customizable to users preference) to make navigation a lot easier.
Come to think of it, a floating toolbar (or similar) to include e.g. "Best Freebies", might be even better.
Hope you can accommodate.
Offline@Adrian : Thanks for posting.
Wouldn't know about the programming aspects – maybe Karen can give some pointers.
This is just a suggestion for improving the forum and, in true brainstorming fashion, no idea is bad.
Even if it cannot be accommodated at the moment, maybe it will sow a seed for some bright developers to work their magic.
Offline@Mr. Boss : Not to worry; this thread was started about a month ago so it won't hurt to wait a little longer – but, please, don't forget it.
Any improvement is better than none.
Go take your vacation in peace and return renewed and fully charged.

OMG this new QJB button is so cool. I just can't stop using it, hahahaha.
@Gioneo: Hmmm… that is an interesting proposal but I am wondering if a website can remap keys. Karen, where are youuuu.
Purpose wise, it works already.
But I can only speak for myself ( I use my keyboard ALOT).

Yes, you are correct – ALL associated discussion related should be consolidated into THIS Forum.
Read my initial post and you will see every aspect (and beyond) has already been mentioned in some way.
I thereby invoke the privilege of first rights and call upon the moderators to do their needfull stuff and move everything in connection to this thread.
Humbly yours…

@AlanR: I added a button to go up, will look into for a button to go down.
GREAT – noticed it (and some other suble mods you seem to have made) straight away but did not have time to remark immediately due to work assignment. You have been busy.!
Suggest the UP button is timmed by the inverse square law and the new DOWN button then added. This would thus only occupy same height as now but half the width, thereby reducing overlapping any underlying boxes.
Keep up the good work – and HOLIDAY.

As far as a button going down, maybe we could just do with the Page Dn or End keys…
pg dn only jumps one page at a time, a DN-QJB would get the the end in one fast scroll – which is what I originally asked for (amonst others).
The "end" key does very much the same I suppose but doesn't look as cool; besides, if there is a common on-screen button collection, the process becomes more intuitive IMHO.
Either way, whichever suits you best….

Hey AlanR:
I thereby invoke the………..5th amendment……..no wait, that's another subject…..something to do with a chap who runs
BP
!!!!!!!!

But really……IMHO part of the problem is that in the past 2 weeks or so………there have been like 50 new topics……..most are by only a few people……….so many that when you go to look for something to respond to a few days later……it's buried & takes time to find each old thread you were interested in……so many of these supposed NEW topics have already been covered…..
Seems that maybe we should have a limit of 2-4 new topics a day per person except, of course, Mr. Boss & the Admins…
…..or like a new topic quarantine…..of all new topics, for the rest of us…….for say a few days to a week……………..& then the mods can move it & incorporate it into old threads…….
Offline@ yourpalal : I feel and share your pain but am not going to get into a long discussion on the mentioned problems in this post.
Suffice it to say, I have alluded to the problems in another thread (see, can't remember which one now
) and complained about the status therein. Namely, the search engine is in desperate need of a thorough overhaul. (Can Foose help?)
As for now, I try to keep track using the Watch Topic & Subscribe to Topic link buttons provided for each thread topic. See lower left at end of the posts.
Let me know if that helps.

Hey AlanR:
Thanks for the reply & info &…. it helps to know other DTs who really care about our site feel the same. ..
.."can't remember which one now"….ya, that's what happens to me
—again, if I didn't care about learning & helping others, it wouldn't matter.
Also, I do use the Watch Topic & Subscribe, but again, if the amount of new topics is overwhelming, it still makes it hard to track!
BTW: What is the real difference between Watch Topic & Subscribe??….& ….Who's Foose??
