Presentation Assistant Portable

 

I'm sharing my launcher for GOTD's Presentation Assistant (PA) and a guide how you can make portable version: you will be able to use PA from USB, portable hard drive,...

Launcher is an application that enables you to use PA as portable application.

• Extract 'PresentationAssistantPortable.zip' to location of your choice (USB,...).
• Extract the contents of GOTD's zip archive.
• Run 'Activate.exe'.
• Press Windows key + R and type regedit => enter.
• Navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> AppEvents -> EventLabels -> {D9D3394E-40A1-432f-8AB5-0DD4769C2A07} -> ProgID
registry key.

• (Right side pane) Copy Key value and paste it in: Presentation Assistant Portable -> App -> PresentationA.ini -> Registration -> Serial Number.
• (Right side pane) Copy User value and paste it in: Presentation Assistant Portable -> App -> PresentationA.ini -> Registration -> User ID.

 

• Extract the contents of installer 'Setup.exe' with Universal Extractor.
• Copy/move all folders and files from {app} folder to App folder in your portable package.
• Copy/move {userappdata} -> Presentation Assistant -> Shapes folder to Presentation Assistant Portable -> App -> PA folder in your portable package.

 

• Use 'PresentationAssistant.exe' in Presentation Assistant Portable folder to start Presentation Assistant Portable.

'rs.reg' file in Presentation Assistant Portable -> App folder holds program's settings.
