@AlanR: I can't for the hell figure out the dang way of correctly using the "code" HTML tag here!
First, click on "buttons" for either the "Reply to post" at lower right of thread OR "Quote & Reply" (in header section of the post to which you are responding) – this will open up the "Reply to Topic" edit window.
The edit window toolbar has buttons for simple text editing tasks. There, you will see one labelled HTML. Click on this and another window will open up where the HTML Source can be edited. Therein you can modify or strip the "codes used by HTML to format the text body. e.g. <strong>Adrian said: </strong>
After editing, you must click on the "Update" button (lower left of HTML Source Editor window)to return to the main edit window.
Any the wiser.?
@ Adrian : I agree. Maybe Mr. Boss should consider deducting post-points for all such flippant and uselessly irrelevant posts.
Sorry to rant a bit.
I know this - Ashraf even warned me not to enlarge the smilies using the HTML edit box again!
However, I still can't use the < code"> tag properly.
Edit : Just found you can choose which text edit mode to use by this;
You might then be able to do whatever was causing difficulty – best of luck.
