First, click on "buttons" for either the "Reply to post" at lower right of thread OR "Quote & Reply" (in header section of the post to which you are responding) – this will open up the "Reply to Topic" edit window.

The edit window toolbar has buttons for simple text editing tasks. There, you will see one labelled HTML. Click on this and another window will open up where the HTML Source can be edited. @ Adrian : I agree. Maybe Mr. Boss should consider deducting post-points for all such flippant and uselessly irrelevant posts.

Edit : Just found you can choose which text edit mode to use by this;

1. Select "Profile" at top of Forum Topic
2. Select the "Personal Options" window
3. In "Select Preferred Editor:" click on which one you prefer to use. Suggest first try Rich Text setting as this will result in a more familiar word processor look & feel – the HTML option is really only for those conversant with it's intricacies (IMHO). HTML adjustments can then be achieved by the methods discussed beforehand.
4. Click on "Update Profile" and return to forum.

You might then be able to do whatever was causing difficulty – best of luck.
