Works fine for me. I'll wait to see if Locutus has a problem opening it before trying anything different. After all, that's who I need to be able to open it.

Send the XCF to me.  I'll whip up a quick screencast about it.   I need to know what's wrong!

I just now tried again after reading your reply. Had one heck of a time getting the ants to march tho. When I finally did, the rounded corners were trying to apply to the whole card. ? Then one of the attempts I thought I had it right, but when I pushed the delete button, the avatar disappeared. Ugh.

I'm probably just missing one little thing, but I've go no idea what it is. I'm also getting so tired that my shoes could be on fire and I wouldn't know it. So what I'm doing trying to figure this out right now is beyond me...

To get rounded rectangles, select your layer.  Then, select your whole avatar.  Go to Select>Rounded Rectangles and set it to ~15.  Click OK, go to Select>Invert, and hit the delete key.

And now, to get back to the subject of this thread...

Locutus: I followed your instructions and it didn't work. Everything looked like it was going right until I hit the delete key.

I push it once and nothing happens, when I push it a second time the avatar disapears. I did leave a few seconds between button pushes too, in case the computer was thinking or whatever.

First I selected the layer by clicking on it in the Layers window. Then I clicked on the avatar on the card it's self.

Next I clicked on Select at the top of the screen, then Rounded Rectangles. I set it to 15 in the small window that opens, then clicked ok.

Clicked on Select again and then Invert. A little window opened up for maybe half a second and then it closed. When I then pushed the Delete button nothing happened. So I pushed it again, nothing happened. Repeated pushings of the delete button had no effect.

As a side thought, would it make a difference that the "rectangle" I'm trying to round the corners on is taller than it is wide? I doubt it, but then again, I don't know what I'm doing anyway!

Whenever I hear the name I'm so busy laughing that I never hear which sex the person is, and in reality, it doens't matter. In my little world anyway.

But at least now if I ever bring it up again, hopefully I'll remember it right.

While one would hope that people would know that Wheezer is a nickname, or username in this case. We should remember that one set of parents legally named their son Moon Unit (Zappa).

I used the quotation marks to make it clear that Wheezer is a nickname type thing. I'm only about 85% sure that's actually a proper use for them tho. So I could be wrong.

FWIW , IMHO, as the nicknames used here are assigned as User-name (u-n) AND this ID is for Members Only, given that we do not on the whole use real names, these u-n's become defacto real names for use in context thereby.

Hence, I believe it correct and justified to dispense with the quotation marks for purpose of dottech ID's.
