I have used http://billionuploads.com/ for a while now. They allow pretty much any file type up to 2GB and you can upload 5 files at a time. It is only like a painless 2 click process to get to the actual download link and no account is required to upload or download. They are browser based but also support remote upload and appear to have a new desktop client I haven't used.

I usually use them as a cheap trick to get around sites that don't allow download resuming as I have a horribly slow connection. I just remote upload the file to them and finish the unresumable download from their servers.

HaHa! I just realized this thread was 3 years old. Oh well.

Hello, you could also use https://www.4shared.com/ you get 15 GB for free, either use it as browser based or download their desktop app. I been using it for years, it's not prefect but it gets the job done.

You can send large files up to 2Gigs for free. You can upload without any throttling. I have to send large video files at times and this worked great.

@Wheezer - Don't know how well this would work, but here's a pretty cheap router that includes an FTP Server built-in. Maybe something like this could be used to transfer large files...
