Hi all!!

What about this stunning WEB 2.0 application powered by GOOGLE TRANSLATE called "NICE TRANSLATOR"??

http://nicetranslator.com/

It allows users to simultaneously translate several sentences into MULTIPLE LANGUAGES (43 languages if I'm not wrong) as they type them (or copy & paste them from a website) in a very fast and accurate way....

The team behind NICE TRANSLATOR has also released a great Firefox add-on that lets you translate any text on any web site even without leaving the page.

In fact what you have to do is just to highlight some text, right click and select "Nicely Translate. Then select the languages you want to translate the text into and hit done. The plugin will spit out translations in up to 34 different languages.

NICE TRANSLATOR FIREFOX ADD-ONi, which is an adaptation of the original Nice Translator website mentioned above, is available for download here:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/11458/

Simply amazing!!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, as at present there is no faster way to translate on the Web!!

Enjoy!!

LOL!

Guys, both Babelfish and Google Translate do the same thing. It is simply a matter of preference...which one you like or which one works better for you. Personally I (and most other techies) would prefer Google Translate...but hey nothing against Babelfish ok.

How about trying this Firefox add-on: gtranslate

With gTranslate you can translate any text in a webpage just by selecting and right-clicking over it. The extension uses the Google translation services to translate the text.

What I like about this add-on is that you can choose to translate certain parts of the webpage instead of the whole webpage. Simply select the words and right-click.

Get gtranslate here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/918

I find going to the google translate page just takes that little bit longer. I don't use toolbars so I haven't tried that. Sounds like using the Google Toollbar and Babelfish are basically the same.

How about Google Translate? It's simple:

Find a page that you need translated

Go to the site

Type it's url into the "to translate" box

Choose the language to translate to

Click "Translate" and wait about two seconds.

Or, if you have Google Toolbar, it's even simpler. Enable the "Translate" feature in the Settings if it isn't already. Then when you find a foreign website, just right-click anywhere and click "Translate Page into English". Problem solved

I'm using Firefox, so that's what I will base this on.

Install BabelFish add-on

Go to the web site you want to translate

Right click on the page and select "Translate page"

If the wrong language is selected you can change it at the top, or you can right click the page again and right click "Detect language" (this wont always select the right language).

It doesn't work on every page and sometimes you may not be able to see pictures.

There maybe other/ better ways of doing this, but this is the first one I have tried.
