With all the latest hype about Win. 8 being the "end of Windows" and all that nonsense, i think people are just scared when they see a change as drastic as this one.
Just take this little kid (3 years old) and he walks us through Windows 8 (Dad is telling him what to open, but he doesn't say how to do it. ie. Open up the start screen…]

I think Win. 8 will be a hit, but it's too far ahead for our modern day tech. Maybe next year or something innovation levels will increase and Windows 8 won't be as "scary" as many think it is today
OfflineYup, 3 year-olds and toy/tablet users – that's Microsoft's target market. Meanwhile 'grownups' will stick with Win 7 or XP, or even turn to Linux.
Back in the late 70's/early 80's, Microsoft were number two (or lower) to Digital Research. Digital Research thought they owned the small computer (D)OS market, they didn't and so got shafted by the IBM/Microsoft duo.
Who will rescue us from Microsoft?
Those who will not reason are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not are slaves.
