Can someone please direct me to the Mu key on my keyboard?

mu

No?  How about the Arrow key?

Am I missing something?  Are those just there to confuse bots, or are we actually supposed to type them?

The arrow I have no idea.  The Mu probably just wants you to type a u.

Can anyone show me the incomprehensible mess button?

Maybe I should have tried that…

I agree with you. Many of them are becoming unreadable.

You're lucky that has a refresh button built right in. Some captchas I've come across are just as unreadable, without the option to refresh it – except refreshing the whole dang page.

Whoa! Did my icon just get super-sized or what?

Here's a fun little thing about ReCaptcha.  You know that they help Google scan books, right?  But do you know how?  They actually only know what one of those words is--say, maracull, rather than the arrow.  So if you don't know how to type one of them in, just do an approximation--like -->.

Some of those are just jumbled messes though.

Oh, the site that was :(

Huh. I always kinda wondered what the "read books" meant. Guess now I know.

I did notice how sometimes its not always accurate.
