I recently got a new computer. I wonder how much it really costs since I got it cheap because I built it myself, so how much would you pay for this?
Specifications:
Processor: Amd Athlon 64 X2 7850 Black Edition at 2.8 Ghrz
Memory: 2 GB at 800 Mhrz
Graphics Card: Ati/Amd Radeon HD 4670 1 GB GDDR3 Memory and entrance to Sapphire Select Club Gold
Motherboard: ASUS M4A77D with ASUS Express Gate
Hard Drive(s): 250 GB at 7200 RPM and 80 GB at 5600 RPM
Operating System: Windows Server 2008 Standard or Windows XP
So how much would you pay for this? And if you want to buy, sorry No can do, I'm already happy with this

A very quick survey of prices, I get the following:
processor $69
motherboard $80
graphics card $110
hard drive 250GB $40
hard drive 80GB $20
OS – XP $100
Since you'd have to add in a case and fans to this, I would pay no more than about $500.

i'd probibly pay 600-800 for that. but I don't buy very often, so that's just a guess XD

This is complete with fans and case. I just listed the main parts. The case comes with two 120 Millimeter fans and the power supply provides 500 watts. The Processor fan is a 92 Millimeter fan and the speed is adjustable.

Yea, maybe 550 – 650. Retail could be as high as 700, though. What kind of uses did you have in mind when you made it?

But I'm also picky and have built my own computers as well. No offense meant by low-balling a price.

Well as you have no doubt noticed, building your own computer is not just significantly cheaper, its reDICULOUSLY cheaper, so retail could possibly be 1000 or more if it was marketed as a gaming computer. I've only owned 1 computer (this laptop) but Im planning on building one when I buy a desktop.
